Brian Whipps

Brian's practice concentrates on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the US and abroad, and intellectual property evaluations, including due diligence and clearance. Brian's experience in patent law has encompassed a wide variety of technologies, with an emphasis on polymer, small molecule and formulation chemistry, optics, nanotechnology, and associated processing. Brian also has prior pharmaceutical patent litigation experience.

Prior to becoming a registered patent attorney, Brian was a Process and Research Engineer for a large international agribusiness company. Brian has first-hand industrial experience with fermentation, distillation, molecular sieve, ion exchange, cryogenics, liquid extraction, evaporation, filtration, and dynamic process modeling.
